Many love the smell of fresh notes, don’t we? However, what if those notes aren’t as fresh as we believe? A recent video that went viral, highlighting the dirtiness of money, stunned the public.
Two popular Facebook pages, The Viral 25 and Berani Viral, recently posted a video that might surprise many. It featured canteen staff thoroughly cleaning bank notes collected from their sales.
It’s not how we expected it to be
The video emphasized on how often the fact that money can be filthy is overlooked! If the thought of germy cash makes you cringe, you might want to skip this one.
In the video, they wrote “Ohh my, look at the residue, how it is”
The canteen workers were spotted cleaning several RM 1 and RM 5 bills in a huge tub. After rinsing, the runoff water looked nearly as dirty as sewage.
As soon as she was done washing, the worker then proceeded to wipe the notes and shifted it to another basin to let it dry.
What netizens think about it
The brownish water made netizens go absolutely bezerk as they just realised how dirty money actually is. Many also praised the worker for being so diligent.
“Very smart, washing notes. Share laa some knowledge” said one of the commenters.
“Now that’s really washing money.. very hard working” praises like this were all over the comment section.
“So this is called washing money !” said one of the netizens.
We should all learn that money isn’t as clean as it looks. It’s always safer to wash our hands after handling it to get rid of bacteria!
