Now, Malaysians may soon get the chance to do just that, as Hong Kong Disneyland has announced that it will be holding live open auditions in Kuala Lumpur this June.
Disney to hold auditions in KL this June
According to a statement released by Hong Kong Disneyland yesterday, the auditions will take place from June 20 to 21 in Kuala Lumpur as part of its wider Asia talent search tour.
The casting team is looking for performers who are able to “bring characters to life”, with successful candidates potentially joining Disney’s immersive entertainment lineup.
Selected talents may take part in:
- Stage performances
- Grand parade shows
- Character meet-and-greet sessions with park visitors
The company said it is excited to expand its talent recruitment efforts to Malaysia, citing the country’s vibrant arts and performance community.

KL among key stops in Disney’s Asia audition tour
Kuala Lumpur is reportedly one of the major stops in Disney’s latest regional casting tour.
Prior to Malaysia, the audition team had already held auditions across several Asian countries and regions including Hong Kong, Japan, Taiwan, the Philippines, South Korea, and Thailand.
The initiative aims to discover fresh talents who could eventually become part of Disney’s international entertainment ecosystem.
Successful candidates may relocate to Hong Kong
Those who pass the audition process will be given opportunities to work in Hong Kong Disneyland and participate in various live entertainment projects within the theme park.
This includes large-scale stage productions, parade performances, and interactive guest experiences.
The opportunity also opens doors for local Malaysian performers to potentially transition from regional stages into the global entertainment industry.
