In case you haven’t heard of the news yet, Malaysians all across the country will soon be able to enjoy RON95 petrol which will be priced at RM1.99 per litre starting Sept 30 under the Budi95 targeted subsidy scheme.
But if you’re unsure over whether you’re eligible to enjoy this perk, the government has recently unveiled a website which will inform you whether or not you can refuel your vehicle with this new subsidised pricing.
How to check for Budi95 eligibility
1. Head over to https://www.budimadani.gov.my/ and click the blue button icon under ‘Budi Madani RON95’ on the right.

2. You will then be led to a separate tab, where you then select the “Individual” option to check your eligibility.

3. After clicking the “Individual” option, you will need to key in your MyKad number (without dashes) and click “Semak Kelayakan”.

4. If you are eligible for Budi95, you will be notified along with the display of your MyKad number and dates for the unrolling of the scheme, which will be carried out in stages.

5. Conversely, if you’re marked as ineligible for Budi95, you will be informed of the reason why (e.g. expired driving license) and necessary course of action to take.
