Heng Kee Roasted Pork Owner’s Son Responds After Father Was Accused Of Chaining And Dragging Dog Behind Vehicle

"Sorry, no further comments."
Yesterday, we reported of how a dog was chained to the back of a vehicle and dragged along the road in Port Dickson.

Although a kindhearted man managed to put a stop to the abuse, the dog sadly succumbed to its injuries not long after.

Police later arrested the dog’s 61-year-old owner, where he’s currently being probed for animal abuse.

Abuser alleged to be the owner of Heng Kee Roasted Pork

Shortly after news of the abuse went viral on social media, some netizens went around digging to expose the identity of the dog abuser.

According to one, he claimed that the man was none other than the owner of Heng Kee Roasted Pork, a famed restaurant in Lukut which is known for its delectable roasted pork and a staff who went viral for dancing to Blackpink’s ‘Pink Venom’.

It didn’t take long for things to spiral out of control, with netizens flooding Heng Kee Roasted Pork’s social media pages with hateful comments and negative reviews.

A check by WeirdKaya found that the restaurant’s Facebook page can no longer be found, presumably due to the amount of angry comments left there.

Owner’s son responds

When contacted by Sin Chew Daily, Shi Shanwen (transliteration), the son of Heng Kee Roasted Pork’s owner, had little to say except that he is currently dealing with the matter.

He also thanked those who had shown concern over the incident and refused to comment further.

Shi’s mother told the Chinese daily that the stall continues to operate as usual despite the public backlash. Like Shi, she also declined to speak more on the incident.

We hope this matter will be resolved amicably and that the authorities will mete out justice for the dog!
