With the Klang Valley officially in the second phase of the National Recovery Plan (NRP) and school holidays round the corner, the Karak Highway is now seeing traffic building up at 11am today.

Under Phase 2 of the NRP, fully vaccinated individuals can now travel freely within the Klang Valley.
Major roadblocks between Selangor, Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya have also been removed, resulting in a significant increase of vehicles on the highway.

China Press also reported that police have set up roadblocks at the Karak Highway and Gombak toll gate, causing long queues on both routes.
The highway company’s official Twitter account also showed real-time updates of queues as long as 800m at the entry point leading into Kuala Lumpur.
