Group Of M’sians Walk Out Without Paying RM46 Bill At Johor Cafe, Owner Urges Them To Come Forward

Forgetfulness or taking advantage?
We all probably have been in a situation when we get so engrossed in the meal and fellowship, where we eventually forget to pay the bill at the eatery we’re patronising.

A cafe owner in Johor is currently on the hunt for four customers who apparently dined at the establishment and walked out without paying for their meal, much to his chagrin.

Group of M’sians walk out without paying RM46 bill

Taking to the shop’s Facebook account, the owner of Sweet Talk Dessert & Cafe wrote that a total of six customers came to the premise on Monday (Oct 30) at around 12.39pm to have a meal.

After finishing their meal, all of them subsequently left without paying a single cent on the bill.

According to the receipt, they had ordered a bowl of noodles, curry chicken rice, three desserts, and a cup of warm water which amounted to RM46 in total.

In the post, the owner jokingly said the cafe’s environment was probably “too comfortable”, causing the customers to forget paying the bill.

He also added that he hopes they would see the Facebook post and immediately come forward to pay the bill.

Didn’t come into cafe together

Speaking to China Press, the cafe owner said the six customers didn’t walk in together, noting that two men and two women were the first to enter before they joined by two other women later.

The two women who came in much later paid their bill, but the four individuals who came earlier didn’t pay and walked out, causing the staff to be unaware of it.

“This has also made the cashier who was on duty at the time to be deeply upset as such situations result in losses for the cafe.

‘In order not to make our staff more unhappy, we decided to take to Facebook to find the four customers who didn’t pay,” he explained.

Hopefully the customers involved will step forward and pay the bill as they should!
