“After 20 minutes, I was contacted by Grab, who told me someone had reported me. They reported that I had pulled out a screwdriver in self-defense. There’s CCTV footage, they can check it,” he said.

He added that he took a firm stance because he was right and claimed he was innocent that his livelihood was jeopardized by the Singaporean duo.

He mentioned that he was unable to accept orders yesterday and does not know when the situation will end.

“I made RM100, had to send RM50 for my wife and children’s meals, that’s how it is in Malaysia, it’s okay, I’m not defeated, not afraid, in the end, we will all die, that’s the fate of Malaysians,” he said in the video.

Grab delivery was his sole income source

Speaking to WeirdKaya, the distressed driver confirmed, “Yes, my account has been suspended.” He further claimed that it was due to the Singaporean man lodging a fake report with Grab.

Grab called me yesterday, they read out the report that the Singaporean man had filed, and then they took my statement. Until now, I can’t use Grab. I’m a full-time Grab rider with no other sources of income,” he lamented.

Originally from Seremban, the man was living in Johor Bahru specifically to make GrabFood deliveries.

“I filed a report on June 16 and Grab suspended me yesterday at 6pm,” he said.

WeirdKaya has reached out to Grab for comment but have yet to receive a response.
