Goh Soon Huat soared to the top of the leaderboard with a jaw-dropping smash speed of 399.2 km/h, earning him the title of the fastest smasher in the mixed doubles category.

Chen Tang Jie claimed the second spot with an impressive smash clocking in at 398.8 km/h, solidifying Malaysia’s dominance in this category.

He also secured the 8th spot with a powerful smash of 394.4 km/h, proving his consistency as one of the best.

The leaderboard, unveiled by the Badminton World Federation (BWF) on their Instagram page, highlights the fastest smashes recorded across five categories at the Malaysia Open 2025.

Malaysians continued to shine across the leaderboard in various categories.

In the men’s doubles, Man Wei Chong secured the 3rd and 5th spots with blistering smash speeds of 455.9 km/h and 442.9 km/h, while his compatriot Ong Yew Sin followed closely, ranking 6th and 7th with smashes clocking in at 441.0 km/h and 439.7 km/h.

Over in the women’s doubles category, Pearly Tan lit up the competition by clinching the 8th spot with an impressive smash speed of 363.5 km/h.

Meanwhile, in the men’s singles category, Leong Jun Hao showcased his incredible power, securing the 4th spot with a stunning smash of 423.5 km/h.
