Gen Z In China Wakes Up At 4am To Work 4 Jobs So That She Could Save RM60K A Year

She usually sleeps around 12:30am.
While most people clock in and out of one job, a young woman in Fujian, China, juggles four jobs daily in her pursuit of financial independence.

In a now-viral post on Douyin by @仔仔非常爱生活, the woman, who is in her early 20s, shared her decision to take on multiple jobs.

One full-time job simply doesn’t cut it when it comes to covering expenses and reaching her financial goals.

Her jobs include a full-time position in a kitchen from morning to evening, during which she takes a lunch break to care for an owner’s kitten and help feed the cat.

In the evening, she takes on another part-time job at a shop, and her fourth job involves building and managing social media.

Her hectic schedule leaves her with little downtime— and even less sleep.

“My full-time job starts at 5:30am, so I wake up at 4 in the morning. The shift ends at 5:30pm, but there are breaks in between,” she explained.

Her main role is in the food and beverage industry, where she preps and cleans the kitchen, as seen in her Douyin vlogs.

But her day doesn’t end there. After 12 hours on her feet, she moves on to her second part-time job and also runs her own social media.

“After work, I handle my other jobs and usually sleep around 12:30am,” she said.

The young woman documents her life through videos, sharing her journey of working multiple jobs to save RMB100,000, which is approximately RM61,700.
