In a shocking development, the lifeless body of a man, believed to be around 40 years old, was discovered with multiple gunshot wounds in a private oil palm estate in Sepupok, Niah.
The grim find was reported to the authorities by a foreign national at approximately 8pm on Monday (July 29).
According to Assistant Commissioner Alexson Naga Chabu, the body exhibited unmistakable signs of violence, with gunshot wounds evident on the victim’s forehead, eyes, neck, and abdomen.
Kosmo! reported that the police have launched a full investigation into the incident and are actively searching for suspects and witnesses who might have information about the case.
The investigation is being conducted under Section 302 of the Penal Code, which pertains to murder.
Furthermore, the authorities are appealing to the public for any information that might assist in solving this case.
