A former soldier assaulted his mother by hitting and stomping on her face after she reportedly refused to give him RM20 to buy drugs.
Sinar Harian reported that the incident took place at a house in Kampung Gual Jedok, Kelantan yesterday (Mar 26).

Hits, stomps on mother’s head over RM20 for drugs
According to Tanah Merah police chief Superintendent Mohd Haki Hasbullah, the 32-year-old suspect went berserk after his mother refused to give him RM20 to buy drugs.
“He then hit, slapped and stomped on her head, where it was recorded on film by the woman’s grandchild,” he said in a statement.

Mohd Haki added that the suspect holds an OKU card from the Social Welfare Department (SWD) and was an ex-soldier who lost his job in 2013.
Suspect tested positive for drugs
The suspect was later nabbed by police, where he admitted to assaulting his mother over not getting the RM20.
His 65-year-old mother sustained swelling to her head, forehead, and eyes and was sent to the Tanah Merah Hospital for treatment.
Mohd Haki said urine tests found the suspect positive for methamphetamine and that he had two criminal records for drugs.

The case is now being probed under Section 323 of Penal Code and Section 323/18A of the Domestic Violence Act.
In March, a man in Ipoh received the death sentence for dismembering his father who scolded him for taking drugs inside the house:
