A delivery rider in Jakarta, Indonesia has allegedly died due to exhaustion while on the job yesterday.
Died while delivering parcels
This tragedy was revealed by @arifnovianto_id on Twitter, who said that the delivery rider passed away while delivering parcels to customers.
According to several friends of the victim, his untimely death was caused by exhaustion after spending long hours working under the scorching sun.
@arifnovianto_id added that brutal working conditions and a severe lack of protection also played a part in the delivery rider’s death.

The tweet has since gone viral, where it garnered over 2.8 million views and 17.8k retweets at the time of writing.
Many were saddened by the delivery rider’s unfortunate passing and sent their condolences to his family.
One wrote: “Whenever possible, always give delivery riders a word of thanks and encouragement. Give them a drink too. If you have spare cash, give a tip to make their job easier.”
