Recently, the famous Malaysian cosmetics mogul took to TikTok to share a rather shocking story.
During her visit to London, she decided to hop on a rickshaw for a leisurely 15-minute tour around the city.
What seemed like a simple sightseeing trip quickly turned into a jaw-dropping moment when the bill came – and it wasn’t pretty.
In a TikTok video, she revealed that she was charged approximately RM1,128.20 for the short ride.
The Unexpected Price Tag
While enjoying the ride, Datuk Seri Vida couldn’t help but notice that she was the only one on the rickshaw, with everyone else seemingly passing by.
“I started to wonder why no one else was riding it. Everyone was staring at me, thinking, ‘What’s she doing on that thing?’” she recalled in her video.
But the real shocker came when she reached the end of her ride. Instead of the anticipated modest fee, she was handed a bill for a whopping £200 (around RM1,128.20).
Initially, the price was set at £235 (around RM1,325.87), but the rickshaw rider kindly offered a discount, believing Datuk Seri Vida was a student.
What a generous gesture, right? Not so much when the total still felt like a small fortune.
