A labourer in Johor is facing decades in jail and whipping after he pleaded guilty to raping his 20-year-old daughter at home.
As a result of his heinous act, his daughter is now 18 weeks pregnant. reported NST.
Pleaded guilty to 2 charges
According to the charges, the 47-year-old accused allegedly raped his daughter in his living room and bedroom between March 2025 and January this year.
Following the alleged rape, the victim was taken to a health clinic by family members after she complained of stomach pain.
She was later found to be with child after medical examinations was carried out.
After being referred to Sultanah Nora Ismail Hospital, the victim recounted in detail how she was abused and claimed the accused had threatened her into silence.
The accused pleaded guilty to the charges framed under Section 376(3) of the Penal Code before Magistrate Arun Noval Dass, where he faces up to 30 years in jail and a minimum of 10 cane strokes.
As the case falls under the jurisdiction of the Sessions Court, the mention of facts and sentencing will be made today. No bail was offered following the guilty plea.
Deputy public prosecutor Firdaus Ruslan appeared for the prosecution, while the accused was unrepresented.
