Christmas Tree Decor Drops On Top Of SG Man’s Head At Pavilion KL

A Christmas not to remember.
With the whole of Malaysia celebrating Christmas in full swing, malls across the country are welcoming shoppers from and outside of Malaysia with eye-catching decorations and Christmas tunes.

Unfortunately for a family who came all the way from Singapore to celebrate Christmas, they were left traumitised after a Christmas tree decor hanging above them fell squarely on one their heads at Pavilion KL.

Christmas tree decor drops on top of SG man’s head

According to Harian Metro, the incident took place today (Dec 25) when the victim, Julius Lee, was taking pictures with his wife Aileen Tan and their child when the Christmas tree decor suddenly fell and landed on his head.

Speaking to the Malay daily, Aileen said she and her family are still in shock and never expected to find themselves in the situation.

My husband was outside the merry-go-round taking pictures of me and our child. Suddenly, the Christmas tree decoration fell. We were truly shocked and didn’t expect it at all. It happened very quickly.

“Fortunately, our child was with me. If he had been in the stroller, he would have been hit as well. He was shocked by the incident and started crying immediately,” she said.

Aileen added her husband suffered a swollen head as a result of the accident and was taken to a clinic by the mall’s management.

She said that she and her family came to Malaysia last Wednesday to celebrate Christmas but never expected their plans to go awry in such a manner.

Not long after the accident, the mall’s management immediately cleared the Christmas tree decor from the scene.
