This comes after the PH-BN secured a two-third majority at the state polls, allowing it to form the state government.

Chow also successfully defended his Padang Kota seat with a resounding 7,116 vote majority, where he defeated PN’s H’ng Khoon Leng.
Despite the win, Penangites will not be getting a public holiday on Monday (Aug 14), unlike what was offered by Selangor caretaker MB Amirudin Shari if PH-BN retains the state.
