At 12pm, the first group of customers walked through the restaurant’s doors, where GiGi showed them to their table and served them their food and tea.

When it came to night time, GiGi noted that she was “too tired to even move” and resorted to entertaining customers by singing ‘Happy Birthday’ to them with another staff.

Given a salary of RM100

After close to 12 hours of work, GiGi finally called it a day at 11.16pm, where she was looking forward to go home.

But before she left, the restaurant manager handed her RM100 for her labour, something which left GiGi surprised and touched.

Although she was clearly tired by the work, GiGi noted that her earnings were worth it and added that it was rather tiring and that no job is without its challenges.

RM100 too little for a day?

In the comment section, netizens debated among themselves over whether GiGI’s RM100 earnings were way too little for a day’s work.

‘RM100 isn’t a lot. It’s not easy being a waiter and it’s very tiring. I’ve worked as a cook and waiter before and both are equally as hard. I usually would give tips to waiters and won’t lose my cool with them unless they overstep the mark.’
