“I thought she was quite independent and could manage it,” she wrote.

The young woman demonstrated her determination by arriving a day early, taking a bus from Terengganu to Kuala Lumpur, and staying overnight at a hotel to prepare for the interview.

However, things took a turn when she missed her bus the next morning.

Didn’t show up on time

Around 10:50 a.m., the candidate had not yet arrived at the company, prompting the manager to call her. The young woman explained that she was waiting for the next bus, having missed the earlier one.

“I told her to take a ride-hailing service,” the manager shared. However, the candidate admitted that she only had enough money for her trip back home.

Without hesitation, the manager paid for her ride.

Thanks to this act of kindness, the candidate from Terengganu made it to the interview and was hired. Today, she remains happily employed at the company.

“I’m glad she got the job and is doing well. I’ve been through similar struggles and believe everyone deserves at least one chance to showcase their skills,” the manager reflected.

The manager added that her own experiences of hardship early in her career have shaped her empathy, making her more inclined to help young people. “Small gestures can change lives,” she concluded.
