Residents of a sleepy town in Papar, Sabah had a shocking awakening after the body of a headless and armless woman was found floating in a river yesterday (June 15).
Kosmo reported that the grisly discovery was made by a member of the public, where the body was found stuck to a tree branch by the river located in Kampung Sapat.

Woman’s body found headless and armless
In a statement by Papar district police chief Deputy Superintendent Kamaruddin Ambo Sakka, police were informed of the incident via a phone call made by a member of the public at 10.30am. Firefighters were also contacted to help bring the body ashore.
He said the woman’s body was found naked and incomplete, where her head and both arms were missing. The only body part that remained was the right leg, that is from the thigh to the knee.
“The victim is estimated to be aged between 30 to 40 years old and believed to have passed away a week ago.

“So far, the cause of the victim’s death has not been identified and the case is classified as sudden death,” he said.
Kamaruddin also urged those with further information to head over to the Papar District Police Headquarters (IPD) if they have any missing family members, neighbours, or friends who have not returned home for the purpose of identifying the body.
Additionally, those who have information regarding the next of kin of the victim’s body can also contact investigating officer Sergeant Mustifin Wahid at 014-2030071.
