A woman’s seaside picnic with her family turned sour when another family set up a large tent right in front of them, blocking their view and dampening their spirits.
According to a video posted on TikTok, the woman took advantage of the long weekend following the recent public holiday for the King’s birthday to bring her family to the beach in Port Dickson.
“This is a sad short story from yesterday’s picnic with my family.” She wrote in the caption.
Set up a tent directly in front of them
The video began with her and her family setting up a tent, lying on a mat, breathing in fresh air, and listening to the waves. They had brought along food and drinks and were preparing meals on the beach.
Shortly after, another family arrived and set up a large tent directly in front of them, obstructing their view of the ocean.
She expressed her frustration, saying, “Our happiness was short-lived, only to be replaced by a view of a tent.”
The incident took place last weekend at a beach in Port Dickson, Negeri Sembilan.
Chose not to argue
The woman chose to remain silent, explaining, “We arrived first, but I don’t like to argue. I didn’t want to spoil everyone’s mood or set a bad example in front of the kids.”
She noted that the other family members were older, and they did not want to appear disrespectful.
“Many people lack common sense, and we ended up being the victims.” She added.
