Lifeguards play an integral role as their requires them to always be on high alert and save those who might find themselves in dangerous situations.
A little girl was recently seen on film struggling to keep her head above water while swimming at a pool but was fortunately saved by a lifeguard.

In a TikTok video shared by @stapagonjeng on Tuesday (Nov 19), it showed the OP filming his kids having a splashing fun in the children’s pool at Hard Rock Hotel in Penang.
At the bottom left corner of the video though, it showed a young girl flailing her arms above the water and seemingly struggling to break the surface near a slide.
Thankfully, a young man wearing a lifeguard gear quickly jumped into the pool without hesitation and pulled the girl to the side of the pool before the clip ended.
According to the OP, he said he was busy filming his own children that he didn’t notice that the girl was drowning, adding that it wouldn’t have occurred to him had the lifeguard not leaped into the pool.
Netizens praise lifeguard’s quick actions
The clip has since garnered 3.6 million views at the time of writing and netizens were full of praise for the lifeguard’s alertness which prevented a tragedy from taking place.
Others also questioned where the girl’s parents were at the time and said they were wrong to leave her unattended.
Kudos to the lifeguard for his quickness and to all parents, please keep a close eye on your children at all times, especially at places like swimming pools!
