A young girl was killed while a boy was left critically injured after both of them fell from an apartment in Tampoi, Johor yesterday (June 7).
According to NST, both of the children fell from an upper floor of Pangsapuri Dwi Aliff Avenue before landing on a lower level near the swimming pool area.
Tragically, the girl didn’t survive the fall and died from her injuries while rushed to the hospital, while the boy is being treated in the Intensive Care Unit of Sultanah Aminah Hospital.
When contacted by the English daily, Johor Baru (North) police chief Assistant Commissioner Radin Ramlan Radin Taha confirmed the incident but declined to comment further, saying an official statement will be released soon.
What witness heard
Meanwhile, NST reported that a resident took to social media to shed light on what had transpired.
According to her, she and her family were near the swimming pool when they heard a loud impact and saw the girl lying motionless when they rushed over.
This caused several bystanders to scream for help and call emergency services.
The resident also claimed that another loud sound was heard, this time involving the boy, leading some to assist him while waiting for emergency responders to arrive.
However, the circumstances surrounding the incident still remains unknown.
