A 77-year-old medical worker from Pahang won a staggering RM23.3 million in the Toto lottery on July 24, 2024.
The winning formula? His wife’s car plate number paired with a set of randomly selected numbers.
“The numbers 9938 and 8388 caught my eye because they looked similar and sounded lucky.

Give most of the money to his children
Despite the windfall, the elderly winner plans to give most of the money to his children.
He hopes they will use it wisely to expand their businesses and lead comfortable lives.
He admits that the thrill of betting was more enjoyable than winning, which was just an extra surprise.
Since he used the System 7 method for betting, he also snagged an additional RM1,680 in other prizes.
July has seen a lucky streak with four individuals from Pahang, Sarawak, Sabah, and Selangor claiming nearly RM26.66 million in jackpot prizes.
The Sarawak winner hit the jackpot using the i-System method, bagging RM406,052.95.
On July 27, two more lucky individuals shared over RM2.9 million. A 37-year-old project manager from Sabah, who frequently noticed the numbers 8480 and 6088 on car plates, felt they were a sign not to miss out on a big win, which paid off handsomely with RM2.85 million.
