A 75-year-old woman lost her legs after it was crushed by a forklift at the MASKargo Complex in Bayan Lepas, Penang at around 12 pm yesterday.
The 15-second video of the freak accident was also shared on social media, where it showed her being hit by the forklift while walking in the cargo area.

Right leg had to be amputated
According to Malaysia Gazette, the victim, Jami @Jumi Shariff, had worked as a cleaner for more than 15 years at the said complex.
Southwest District Civil Defence Force officer, Lieutenant (PA) Noor Azizan Zakaria said they received a call at 12:16 pm and sent four personnel to the scene.
She was still conscious while receiving administering treatment and they sent her to the Penang General Hospital for further treatment after that.
Her husband Marzuki Omar later told Malaysia Gazette that her right leg had to be amputated due to the severity of her injury.
“I was waiting to pick her back from work at 12 pm. However, she never called me and I went back home to contact her, where I received a call informing me of the accident.
“We accept what has happened but I do not know what our lives will be like after this as the two of us are living in Balik Pulau while our child lives in Kedah,” he said.
The incident has sparked concern among netizens, who are calling for improved safety measures at the complex to prevent similar accidents in the future.
