Climbing trees is often seen as an action where mischievous children or curious adults would do in order to get a bird’s eye view of the surroundings or simply to pick whatever that’s growing on it.
A man’s search for honey turned deadly after he got himself stuck and subsequently died on top of a 24m-tall tualang tree.

Kosmo reported that the unusual incident took place at Kampung Cabang Tungkat, Bukit Lapan in Kelantan at 12.30pm yesterday (July 3).
It turned out that the victim, 62-year-old Che Hussin Hassan, also known as Hussin Leboh, was looking for honey but suddenly died before he could reach the beehive.
Director of the Kelantan Fire and Rescue Department Zainal Madasin told the Malay daily that an emergency call was made at 1.09pm and 16 firefighters from the Pasir Puteh and Machang Fire and Rescue Stations rushed to the scene to carry out the rescue operation.
Took more than 6 hours to retrieve body
Zainal said when firefighters arrived, they found the victim stuck on top of the tualang tree in an unconscious state.
They then proceeded to get the body down from the tree, which took them more than six hours to do so and finally brought the rescue operation to a close at 7.20pm.
Unfortunately, the victim was pronounced dead by an official from the Ministry of Health (MOH) who was present at the scene.
The body was later handed over to police at 8.12pm for further action.
