Tragedies can occur at any time, and it sometimes occurs at the most unexpected place possible.
A man in Shah Alam met a quick and unfortunate death after he collapsed and subsequently died while inside the toilet of his home.
55yo M’sian man faints and dies inside toilet
According to Kosmo, the victim was 55-year-old Simon Tan Cheng Kim, who fainted inside the toilet of his home located at Jalan Setia Utama, Setia Alam during the early morning today.
In a statement by Selangor Fire and Rescue Department Assistant Director of Operations Muhammadul Ehsan Mohd. Zain, they received an emergency call at around 3.04am.
He added that six personnel, including officers from the Kota Anggerik Fire and Rescue Station, were then deployed to the scene.
When they arrived, they found that the bathroom door was locked and proceeded to break down the door, where they found Tan lying unconscious on the floor.
Despite the firefighters’ best efforts to save him, Tan passed away and was later pronounced dead by paramedics from the Health Ministry (MOH) who later arrived at the scene.
Our condolences to the victim’s family for their loss and may Tan rest in peace.
