In a harrowing incident that could have been straight out of a creepy movie, six snakes were found hiding inside an air-conditioner in a residence in Pulau Langkawi.
The Civil Defence Force (APM) in Pulau Langkawi were the heroes of the day, capturing all the sneaky reptiles and relieving the scared inhabitants.
The action was caught in a 16-second video which was shared on the APM’s Facebook and TikTok pages.
In it, a female officer, donned in her uniform, can be seen bravely scaling a ladder to reach the air-conditioner, then deftly catching the snakes, much to the admiration of the homeowners.

In the post accompanying the video, APM Pulau Langkawi praised the composed demeanor of their officer, handling the surprise guests without any fear.
They used this incident as an opportunity to remind the public to routinely check their air-conditioning units, especially during the hot weather when it might inadvertently become a cosy hideout for snakes.
The post reads, “With this unpredictable weather, anything can happen. It’s hard to believe when you see it. One house, six snakes.”
The video has since gone viral, racking up over 430,900 views on TikTok, with 95 comments, most expressing shock and fear.
Many users were prompted to check their own air-conditioners while others inquired if the snakes could have slithered in from the exhaust pipe.
There were also questions about the type of snakes and if they were venomous, to which someone responded that these might be leaf snakes (ular daun).
