A video of a 5-year-old child celebrating his birthday in Dubai has gone viral on social media, drawing much attention from netizens.
It was first posted on TikTok by the child’s mother with a caption indicating it was a surprise birthday trip, where it garnered 28.5 million views.
The clip showcased the child enjoying a lavish vacation with his family, with highlights including dining at a restaurant with Salt Bae, going on a helicopter ride, receiving birthday wishes on the Burj Khalifa, and staying in a luxurious hotel stay with a breathtaking view.

Following the video’s release, netizens expressed their envy over how the child was lavished with such a birthday surprise.
“So memorable.”

On the other hand, many also had questions about who the child’s parents may be to afford such a birthday surprise.
A check by WeirdKaya on the OP’s TikTok profile showed that she’s an influencer with 2.1 million followers and produces lifestyle content.
It’s also believed that her family runs several businesses in states such as Kelantan and Terengganu.
Too extravagant for a birthday?
On Twitter, the reaction was less pleasant, with most questioning the need to splurge for a birthday surprise.
They also criticised the family for flaunting their wealth for all to see.
As for the birthday wish displayed on the Burj Khalifa, one netizen shared a YouTube video proving that the birthday wishes were free for those visiting the building every evening from 8.45pm until February 28.
