KUALA LUMPUR -A toddler suffered severe injuries to his stomach and thigh after he was stabbed by an 80-year-old man at a playground at Jalan Loke Yew yesterday (Oct 31), reported Kosmo!
Dang Wangi Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Noor Delhan Yahaya said police were alerted of the incident at 5.39 pm.
“The victim was sent to Hospital Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysian (HUKM) for treatment and is now in a stable condition.
“We’ve also apprehended the suspect who was hiding in one of the apartment units prior to his arrest,” he said in a statement today.
Noor Delhan added that police are still probing into the cause of the attack and said that the suspect was found to be suffering from mental illness.
The case will be investigated under Section 326 of the Penal Code for causing grievous hurt with a dangerous weapon.
