Children can sometimes unintentionally cause a mess in the house when they get a bit carried away or fell unwell, but most of the time the adults would be fine with cleaning up.
A man in Melaka became a murderer in a blink of an eye after he became angry that his girlfriend’s son vomited on his sofa, causing him to beat the boy to death.
Rushed to the hospital
According to Melaka Tengah district police chief Assistant Commissioner Christopher Patit, he said the 3-year-old boy was admitted to the Melaka Hospital by his mother and her boyfriend at 6.50am yesterday (July 6) in an unconscious state, reported Sin Chew Daily.
Despite receiving respiratory support for 1 hour and 10 minutes, the boy did not survive and was pronounced dead at 9.15am.
An autopsy report later revealed that the boy had suffered from multiple injuries to his body and head, prompting police to arrest his mother and her boyfriend at the hospital.

Patit said preliminary investigations found that the boy’s mother had sent him to her boyfriend’s home in Cheng at 5.30 am on the day of the incident in order for the child to take his medication. He also added that the child began vomiting at that time.
“At 6.20am, the boyfriend told the child’s mother had fallen by accident and went unconscious, where both of them sent him to the hospital.
“However, the boyfriend later admitted to police that he had assaulted the boy by kicking and pressing his abdomen repeatedly after the child vomited on his sofa,” he said.
Patit added as a result of the man’s actions, the boy’s head and internal organs had ruptured.
The boy’s mother and her boyfriend have since been remanded for seven days and the case is currently being investigated under Section 31(1)(A) of the Child Act and Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.
