A total of three siblings died on the same day in a fatal road accident after the motorcycle they were riding on crashed into a multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) head-on.
Utusan reported that the crash occurred at KM7 of Jalan Benta/Lamir in Kampung Langgar, Pekan in Pahang at 1.15pm yesterday (June 24).

The three victims were identified by police as Ikram Idwan Nik Mohd Khairul Hisyam, 15, Nik Nur Faqihah, 11, and Nik Ikram Nuqman, 5.
In a statement by Pekan district police chief Superintendent Mohd Zaidi Mat Zin, preliminary investigations found the accident occurred when when the MPV, which was carrying six passengers, was traveling from the direction of Taman Jambu towards Kuantan.
As for the victims, they were reportedly traveling from Kampung Lamir towards Kampung Langgar.
“When the victims arrived at the scene, they veered into the opposite lane and collided with the oncoming MPV. Investigations also found that the accident was caused by the victims’ negligence who were riding recklessly,” he said.
All three siblings died at the scene while the MPV driver and passengers sustained injuries, with one of the passengers currently receiving treatment at Hospital Pekan.
Road tax expired since 2009
The victims’ bodies were later taken to Hospital Pekan for an autopsy after the Covid-19 results were released.
It is understood that all of them were from Kampung Langgar, with Nik Ikram Idwan no longer attending school while Nik Nur Faqihah is a student at Sekolah Kebangsaan Langgar.
Sin Chew Daily also reported that the motorcycle had a road tax which had expired since 2009.
Mohd Zaidi added that at the time of the accident, weather conditions were good and it wasn’t raining. The case is currently being probed under Section 41 (1) of the Road Transport Act 1987 for reckless driving.
