A woman in Kelantan is turning heads after she said yes to tying the knot with a man 54 years older than her.
The woman is 28-year-old Wan Nor Fatihah Wan Hanafi, who previously made national headlines between 2012 and 2020 after several fires mysteriously appeared at her home.
It also earned her the moniker as the “mysterious fire girl”.
Marries Islamic healer
Fast forward to today, Wan Nor Fatihah is now happily married to 82-year-old Mokhtar Mohamed, whom she met two years ago and subsequently married on June 24.
“I met my husband while seeking treatment for my illness after being repeatedly tested by the mysterious fire incidents at my home even after we moved from Melor to Penambang.
“Initially, my decision to marry my husband, who is a widower was not approved by my grandmother and other family members.
“However, I believed it was the best decision as he was the only person who could treat me and truly understood what I had gone through,” she told Sinar Harian.
Not her 1st marriage
Wan Nor Fatihah was previously married to a 40-year-old man, but the marriage only lasted for a year.
She said she currently lives at her husband’s home in Kampung Chat, Bachok, adding that he has seven children aged between 42 and 61.
“Previously, many people assumed I was mentally unstable and other things because of the mysterious fire incident and it wasn’t easy for me. Alhamdulillah, my life is now better with my husband by my side.
“As for the age difference, it is only a small matter even though many often think my husband’s my grandfather whenever we appear in public.”
