A man in Perak, angry over an accusation made against him by his wife and her family, gave in to his rage and set his partner on fire, killing her.

According to a statement by Manjung district police chief Assistant Commissioner Mohamed Nordin Abdullah, he said the incident took place at a house in Kampung Bharu on Monday (July 10) and police received a call from the suspect’s sister at 6.42pm, reported NST.
The 33-year-old victim, who was set on fire at the house by her husband, was rushed to the Seri Manjung Hospital but sadly was pronounced dead by a medical officer at 12.20pm yesterday (July 12).
“Our investigations found that the 28-year-old suspect became displeased after he was accused of taking drugs by his wife and her family.
“Police have since managed to arrest the suspect at a restaurant in Manjung at 11pm on Tuesday (July 11) and he will be remanded until July 18 to facilitate investigations,” he said.
Mohamed Nordin said a post-mortem will be carried out today to determine the cause of the victim’s death and that the case is being probed under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.
