A 23-year-old Malaysian man who was reported missing after leaving his workplace for lunch has been found dead at an apartment in Johor Bahru.
The deceased, identified as Xie Junying (transliteration), was discovered lying unconscious outside the lobby of an apartment in Taman Mount Austin.

Reported by Sin Chew Daily, Johor Bahru (South) police chief, Assistant Commissioner Azrul Hisham Mohd Shaffei said police received a report about the incident at around 10.50am.
Initial investigations found that Xie was a Malaysian citizen who worked as a supervisor at a private company in Ulu Tiram.
Police found injuries on his body that were believed to have resulted from a fall from a height.
Medical personnel later confirmed that he had died at the scene.
Personal belongings found inside rented unit
Police subsequently inspected the apartment unit rented by Xie and found that the metal gate leading to the balcony was open.
His personal belongings, including his wallet, mobile phone and identification documents, were still inside the unit.
Based on preliminary findings, police believe Xie had fallen from the balcony of the apartment.
His body was sent to Hospital Sultan Ismail for a post mortem examination to determine the cause of death.
The case has been classified as a sudden death report. Police said no criminal elements have been detected so far, but stressed that all possibilities remain under investigation.

As previously reported by WeirdKaya, Xie left his workplace at around 1pm on Aug 20 to have lunch but did not return.
His family and friends subsequently launched a public appeal to locate him after they were unable to contact him.
Following the devastating news, Xie’s mother shared several family photographs and past WhatsApp conversations with her son on social media.
She also expressed her grief in a post, writing that she felt emotionally exhausted and did not wish to see anyone at the time.
