Family members are supposed to protect and watch each other’s back, but unfortunately there are some who will resort to heinous acts to satisfy their darkest desires.
An unemployed man was recently charged with raping his 11-year-old sister-in-law at a house in Ipoh, a charge which he pled guilty to.

The 22-year-old accused, who is not named, made the plea at the Ipoh Sessions Court today when the charges were read out before Judge Norita Mohd Ardani.
According to Berita Harian, a report alleged that the accused, who is a father to a child, called the victim into the living room and asked her to help clean his ears before he suddenly pulled her into a room and raped her.
The charge sheet said that the incident took place at a house in Taman Bersatu, Ipoh at around 11pm on Sept 16.
Faces up to 35 years in prison
The accused was charged under Section 376(2)(e) of the Penal Code, which provides a prison sentence not less than 10 years and not more than 30 years, and whipping if found guilty.
Additionally, the charges were also read alongside Section 16 of the Sexual Offences Against Children Act 2017, which provides a jail term of up to five years and not more than two cane strokes if convicted.
The case was prosecuted by Prosecution Officer Assistant Superintendent (ASP) Rhozariah Mohd while the accused was unrepresented.
Case mention has been scheduled to be held on Oct 23 by the court.
