2 PDRM Officers Allegedly Extort And Rape Foreign Student, Now Remanded For 7 Days

Two officers from the Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM) force were recently arrested after it was alleged that they were involved in the extortion and rape of a foreign student.

This shocking incident took place at around 10.09pm at Bukit Ampang View on Tuesday (Jan 9).

According to Sin Chew Daily, the victims, an 18-year-old Malaysian man and a 17-year-old girl from Uzbekistan were driving when they were suddenly stopped by the two PDRM officers, who asked for their identification documents.

The officers then accused the victims of illegally parking their car by the roadside and threatened to bring them both to the police station if they didn’t pay a fine of RM2,000 on the spot.

When the male victim said he didn’t have money on hand to pay, the officers changed the fine amount to RM500. One of the officers then took the male victim to a bank to withdraw money while the other stayed behind with the Ubezkistan girl.

Unfortunately, the girl became the victim of sexual assault as the officer allegedly forced her to perform oral sex before raping her.

Officers arrested

In a statement by Selangor police chief Comm Datuk Hussein Omar Khan, he confirmed the incident and said two police reports were lodged by both victims.

“On Wednesday (Jan 10), a group of policemen from the Ampang Jaya police headquarters nabbed both suspects and they’re now remanded for seven days.

“Two investigation papers have also been opened on the case under Section 395 and Section 397 of the Penal Code for armed gang robbery, and Section 376 for rape,” he said.

Comm Hussein vowed not to compromise on investigation alleged wrongdoing by police officers and said the investigation will be carried out in a transparent manner.

“We urge those with information on the case to come forward and contact the Ampang Jaya police headquarters at 03-4289 7222 immediately,” he said.
