The teen, who is said to be a student at a university in Singapore, was brought to the Batu Pahat Magistrate’s Court at 10.20am for remand proceedings, reported NST.
The remand order was subsequently issued by magistrate Mustaqim Sukarno to facilitate investigations under Section 42(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987 for dangerous and reckless driving.

If convicted, he faces a jail term of up to five years and a maximum fine of RM15,000.
Allegedly raced with brother on road
Previously, it was reported that the 19-year-old was racing with his 22-year-old brother, who was behind the wheel of a BMW 530e.
This then led to a collision which saw four family members getting killed while they were travelling from Melaka and returning home to Kota Tinggi.
As for the 19-year-old’s brother, he died while on the way to the hospital.

Three others were left injured in the crash, while two escaped unhurt.
