While it’s usually normal to get a minor scrape or two while on an outdoor outing with friends, getting an arrow stuck in your nose isn’t one of them.
This was exactly what happened to an 18-year-old teen in Sabah who had an arrow stuck inside his nose while fishing with friends.

Sin Chew Daily reported that the incident took place at around 4.30pm at Ranau, Sabah yesterday (Mar 16).
According to the Chinese daily, the teen was fishing with some friends when an arrow suddenly lodged itself right into his nose, causing him to bleed profusely.
In a statement issued by the Sabah Fire and Rescue Department, they were alerted of the accident by the Ranau Hospital at 4.59pm and came over to get rid of the arrow.
A team of firefighters then used a bolt cutter to sever the arrow before removing it and the teen was handed over to health personnel for further action, bringing the rescue operation to a close at 5.11pm.
Hopefully, the teen’s harrowing experience will serve as a stark reminder of the importance of prioritising safety in recreational activities.
