In a harrowing incident that unfolded in Kota, Negeri Sembilan, a teenage girl finds herself hospitalised with 12 stitches in her head after allegedly being subjected to a vicious assault by her own father.
The horrifying event took place late at night, prompting the swift intervention of local authorities.
The suspect, apprehended by the police in front of his residence at 12:30 midnight, was reportedly under the influence of alcohol at the time of his arrest.
Weapons of assault: Chair, clothing & iron
Rembau Police Chief, Hazri Mohamad, revealed to Harian Metro that the 17-year-old victim sustained severe injuries, including a stomach wound, a bruised right shoulder, and a head wound.
The investigation further unveiled disturbing details, indicating that the father employed a chair, a piece of clothing, and an iron as weapons during the assault.
The victim, in critical condition, was swiftly transported by ambulance to Tampin Hospital for immediate treatment. Medical experts will conduct a thorough examination at Kuala Pilah Hospital to assess the extent of her injuries.
Father’s criminal record: 7 offenses & drug-related charges
According to Hazri, the suspect, with a troubling history of seven criminal records, including drug-related offenses, was taken into custody and remanded for four days, starting today.
Authorities are pursuing the case under Section 324 of the Penal Code and Section 18A of the Domestic Violence Act.
