According to Harian Metro, Kai Xin was on her way home after buying ice cream when her pants got caught within the bicycle chain, leading to the fall.

This was contrary to previous reports which claimed a car had hit her, with witnesses to the accident saying she fell down on her own.

Additionally, traces of bicycle oil and tears were discovered on Kai Xin’s pants and no signs of collision was found on the bicycle she fell off from.

Family refuses to do autopsy

In an interview with Oriental Daily, Kai Xin’s aunt said police told the family that further investigations can be carried out along with an autopsy to determine the cause of death.

However, the family refused to give their consent to perform an autopsy, saying that the victim had “suffered enough” and that the autopsy wasn’t needed following her demise.

Our condolences to Kai Xin’s family for their loss and we hope the victim rests in peace.
