YouTuber fined for cosplaying as a Spartan while riding on his motorcycle

THIS. IS. SPARTAAAAAAAAA!

THAILAND – If you’ve ever watched Thai YouTube videos, you will notice that Spartan elements are often used to create comedic effects. However, one YouTuber failed to amuse police with his antics and got himself in a slight pickle.

Anan Pachanapreeda decided to take things to a whole new level by dressing up as a Spartan while riding his motorcycle on the road, reported Matichon, a Thai news outlet.

Half naked and donning a Spartan helmet, Pachanapreeda paraded down the busy road while raising a spear in an attempt to imitate the renowned Spartan “warrior spirit”. Though we’d like to think riding a horse would’ve been more majestic.

In a separate video, he was seen stopping at an intersection and pretended to give a rousing speech for about 30 seconds before jumping back onto his motorcycle when the light turned green.

Unfortunately, Pachanapreeda had to surrender himself to the police on the same day and was charged for carrying a replica of a weapon, failing to wear a proper helmet, and being a public nuisance.

When quizzed by the police for his bizarre act, Pachanapreeda said that he cosplayed as a Spartan upon a fan’s request and that the costume was gifted by the same fan too.

He has since apologised for his actions and said that he would be more considerate in the future.
