If you’ve ever fallen sick and got admitted to the hospital, one of the things that the nurses will administer is an intravenous (IV) drip, where its main purpose is to replenish the body’s nutrients lost by the sickness.
While most would obediently lie on the hospital bed and let the IV drip do its thing, one woman decided to break the norm and visit a night market with the IV drip still pierced in her vein.
Woman seen strolling through KL night market while on IV drip
In a series of photos shared to the Facebook group 吉隆坡蕉賴康樂夜市 yesterday (Nov 29), it showed a group of three young women strolling through the night market at Taman Connaught.
On a closer look, one of the women who was dressed in a grey hoodie and black shorts still had the IV drip on her and seemed unbothered by it.
One of woman’s friends, who was clad in black singlet and long pants, helped her lift the IV bag with her right hand all throughout so that its contents could flow smoothly through her vein.
However, the post didn’t state what sickness did the woman suffer which required her to have the IV drip.
Amused reactions
The post has since garnered more than 300 reactions at the time of writing along with humourous comments from netizens.
One tagged her friend and wrote: ‘Next time bring me there along with the hospital bed.’
A creative netizen photoshopped the woman’s friend who helped her lift the IV bag as the Statue of Liberty. Win liao lo!
However, one wasn’t amused by the incident and remarked whether there was something wrong with young people nowadays.
Whether you find it funny or not, you can’t deny that the woman’s level of dedication is sibeh high!
