With the hot weather not seeing an end anytime soon, many have resorted to bizarre means to cool off amid the sweltering heat.
A woman recently became a public sensation after a video of her taking a dip inside a water fountain near KLCC went viral on social media.
Woman in a short dress swims inside water fountain near KLCC
According to the 33-second clip shared on Twitter, it showed a foreign woman clad in a short red and white barebacked dress sitting inside a water fountain near KLCC and splashing the water with her hands.
She then swam towards the centre of the fountain and rested on her belly, exposing her black underwear to several bystanders who were gawking on in astonishment.
It was at this point where a few men could be heard yelling “Out!” at the woman in the background to tell her that what she was doing was unacceptable.
The camera then panned to the woman being led away to the other side of the road by a police officer, although it’s not known whether further action was taken against her.
Cooling off or plain craziness?
The clip, which has since garnered 41,000 views at the time of writing, saw a variety of opinions from netizens who were speculating what was the cause for the woman’s strange behavior.
One joked that she was probably wanted to take on the role of Ariel from The Little Mermaid.
Another suggested that she could’ve been drunk at the time.
This netizen said that she was most likely trying to cool herself off during the heatwave season to prevent heatstroke.
