A woman from China recently took to social media to share a heartwarming encounter of how a Malaysian man came to her rescue and accompanied her for hours after one of her car tyres got punctured.
Her post has since garnered much attention online, with many praising the man for his simple act of kindness.
Had a punctured tyre after basketball game
According to the post shared on Xiaohongshu (XHS), the OP wrote that she had just about to go home after her basketball game at around 11pm.
To her dismay, she discovered that she was unable to do so as one of the tyres had burst and gone completely flat.

M’sian man offers help and waits for tow truck with OP
As the OP stood by the roadside in a state of panic, a Malaysian man who passed by stopped to check on her and offered to help her change the flat tyre.
Despite his best efforts to get the spare tyre out from the car boot, it simply wouldn’t budge and it left the man sweating all over.

Due to a language barrier, the OP called her friend to help contact her insurance company’s tow truck service and told the man to go home first as it was getting late.
She also offered to buy him coffee for his troubles but he firmly declined.
To her surprise, he even offered to wait alongside her for the tow truck to arrive, adding that he didn’t feel safe leaving her all alone by herself.
For the next two hours, the man stayed by the OP’s side despite her telling him multiple times to return home.

‘Who said M’sia isn’t a safe country?’
Finally at 1.30am, the tow truck arrived and pulled over to transport the OP’s car to the nearest workshop, which also signaled that the man was free to leave.
Filled with gratitude, the OP took a photo with the man to commemorate the touching moment and expressed the following thoughts:
I was really moved by his kindness. Who says Malaysia isn’t safe? I’ve fallen deeper in love with the country.”

What a heartwarming incident! We hope to see more stories like this in the future and remember: it doesn’t cost anything to be kind!
