A video showing a female passenger causing a disturbance onboard an AirAsia flight, believed to be preparing for departure in China, has recently gone viral, drawing widespread attention online.
In the now-viral video on Threads, the woman is seen at her seat, surrounded by cabin crew and several passengers as tensions escalate.
Female cabin crew seen patiently communicating
An AirAsia female crew member was seen patiently communicating with her in Chinese, seemingly trying to understand the situation.

Based on the conversation captured in the video, the woman appeared to have been speaking loudly on her phone.
A passenger seated across the aisle began recording her as she spoke loudly on her phone. She then asked them to stop and delete the video, but they refused, which appeared to trigger the conflict.
Situation worsens amid apparent language barrier
Cabin crew later stepped in to defuse the situation, but based on the interaction heard in the video, matters became more complicated when the crew member attending to her did not appear to understand Chinese.
The woman grew increasingly agitated and was heard questioning why the cabin crew could not communicate in Chinese.
Why does he keep speaking English to me?” she said.

As seen in the video, the situation escalated further, with the woman refusing to leave the plane when asked.
She instead demanded compensation for both the flight and her trip.
If you don’t compensate me, then everyone gets stuck here with me,” she said.
Flight reportedly delayed, woman escorted off
Several passengers were seen recording the incident, with some in the video smiling while filming, seemingly entertained by the scene.
According to claims circulating online, the disruption led to a delay of approximately two hours, although this has not been independently verified.
The woman was later escorted off the plane by police officers.

Netizens reaction
Netizens have been sharing and commenting on the video, with many mocking the woman and urging her to respect others when flying internationally, while others praised the AirAsia staff’s patience.
“That staff handling the situation had a really good attitude. They even crouched down to calmly talk things out with the person involved. They probably got sprayed with quite a bit of saliva. Tough job.”

“After the previous incident, this woman has once again shown the world the patience of Malaysians. Is working in the service industry easy? But no matter what, affecting a flight is a serious matter. “
