Imagine enjoying your late night meal at KFC when you suddenly notice someone staring at you from outside the window.
That appears to be exactly what happened in a bizarre series of CCTV clips recorded late on Sunday night (Aug 23).
And the person lurking outside was certainly hard to miss.
Spotted peeking at diners
CCTV footage timestamped at around 11.14pm showed a mysterious figure dressed entirely in red, complete with a large matching wide-brimmed hat, standing outside the restaurant.
At one point, the figure could be seen slowly raising his head to peek through the glass at several customers who were seated inside.
Some of the diners appeared to notice something outside, prompting the mysterious visitor to quickly duck back down.
But apparently, that was not the end of his late night adventure.
A few moments later, he popped his head up again before slowly walking away from the window.
Things got even stranger outside
Another CCTV angle then captured the same figure walking cautiously along the side of the restaurant.
A KFC lorry was parked nearby, and just as he approached it, his oversized red hat suddenly fell onto the ground.
Instead of simply picking it up and continuing on his way, the figure appeared to panic.
He quickly grabbed the hat and moved towards the lorry before crouching down and seemingly trying to keep himself hidden.
At one point, he could even be seen down on the ground beside the vehicle before eventually disappearing from view.
The whole encounter leaves us with several questions. Who exactly is this mysterious red-clad visitor?
Why was he peeking into KFC? And more importantly, why was he trying so hard not to be seen?
For now, it looks like we will just have to wait and see what he was up to.
