As former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak prepares to leave Kajang Prison and serve the remainder of his sentence under house arrest, PAS information chief Ahmad Fadhli Shaari has taken a swipe at Transport Minister Anthony Loke.
In a Facebook post, Fadhli sarcastically asked:
“What time are you resigning today, and when are you packing up and leaving the office?”
His remark came as Najib’s lawyers confirmed that the RM50 million fine required for his house arrest had been settled, with the relevant order being sent to Kajang Prison for implementation.

Loke said resignation would take effect when Najib goes home
Loke had earlier submitted his resignation letter to Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim in protest against Najib being allowed to serve the remainder of his sentence at home.
On Sept 29, Loke said Anwar had asked him to continue carrying out his duties temporarily, but he made clear that his resignation would take effect once Najib returned home.
On the day Najib goes home, my resignation will take effect.”
Loke said the move was meant to reaffirm DAP’s position that it did not agree with Najib being allowed to serve his remaining sentence under house arrest.
Najib expected to return home
Najib’s lawyer Farhan Shafee said the court had issued the house arrest order after the RM50 million fine was paid.
The order was then being delivered to Kajang Prison, with the process expected to be completed on Nov 6.
Police had also tightened security around Najib’s residence at Langgak Duta, with around 30 officers deployed in preparation for his possible return.
With Najib now expected to begin serving his sentence at home, attention has turned back to Loke’s earlier pledge — and whether his resignation as Transport Minister will now formally take effect.
