Flights can get pretty boring, especially when you’re sitting through a medium or long-haul journey with nothing much happening besides meals, naps, and toilet breaks.
But on one Scoot flight, things felt a little different, because Spider-Man had somehow made his way onboard.
Scoot has teamed up with Sony Pictures for a limited-time Spider-Man: Brand New Day themed flight experience, bringing Spidey-themed aircraft designs, cabin touches, exclusive merchandise, and onboard surprises to selected flights.
Spider-Man themed seats, posters & cabin details
The themed experience begins the moment you step into the aircraft.
Inside the cabin, the seats were fitted with red Spider-Man themed headrest covers, giving the plane a fun movie-themed look without feeling too over the top.
There were also posters and promo cards placed onboard, showing passengers the special Spider-Man themed meals, merchandise, and collectibles available during the flight.
According to Scoot, the collab runs until 13 September, 2026 and features two-themed aircraft, an Airbus A321neo and a Boeing 787 Dreamliner.
The first themed flight was operated by the Boeing 787 Dreamliner to Tokyo Haneda on 30 June, 2026, followed by the Airbus A321neo to Chiang Mai on 1 July, 2026.
After that, the aircraft will be rostered on selected routes to cities in Australia, China, Japan, the Philippines, and Thailand, which is subject to flight schedules and approvals.
Meals come with mystery Spider-Man flight tags
One of the cutest parts of the experience was the onboard meal promo.
Passengers who purchase the Hero’s Fuel Combo can get a mystery movie flight tag (a total of 4 designs to collect).
During the flight, the Scoot cabin crew asked us to choose between red or blue, but it works like a blind box, so the design inside may still be a surprise.
The combo includes a hot meal, a Biscoff, and a drink.
As for the meal, the laksa was honestly pretty good. It was comforting, and had that familiar taste of home, which is always extra nice when you’re mid-flight.
There’s also a Hero’s Snack Combo, which comes with Pringles Original and Coca-Cola.
Besides the mystery flight tags, passengers can also get an exclusive foldable movie tote bag when they spend S$50 on duty-free shopping onboard.
The flight tag and tote bag are part of the limited-time Spider-Man themed collectibles available through the campaign, while stocks last and subject to terms and conditions.
To complete the experience, passengers were even treated to special Peter Parker announcements onboard, making the whole flight feel even more like a Spidey mission in the sky.
The long journey also became less boring when the Scoot cabin crew, also known as Scootees, suddenly appeared in Spider-Man themed jackets at around 9pm.
They then started a surprise activity onboard, where passengers who had special cards placed on their seats received a free gift.
The gift was a cute Spider-Man squishy, which gave the flight a small but fun surprising moment, especially for passengers who weren’t expecting anything beyond a normal flight.
So yes, your next Scoot flight might just come with a Spidey upgrade, a mystery collectible, and maybe even a surprise gift onboard.
