Overview of competition
If you’ve made up your mind to participate in the Beyond Accounting Quiz, here are some things you should know about how the competition works.
The competition will be divided into two phases: 1) Preliminary Round which will be held online until 30 March 2024 and 2) Final Round which will be held physically at Sunway College on 27 April 2024
The physical round is further divided into two categories of participants: individual and group competitions, where participants can form a group of three if they opt for the latter. Only the top 10 participants/groups with the highest score in the online quiz will advance into the finale held at Sunway College.
During the final round, participants will be tasked with solving a problem based on a case study and will need to propose their solution via a Powerpoint presentation. Before they do so, they will attend a workshop conducted by a Sunway TES CAE lecturer to prepare them for the presentation.
Quiz format, rules and regulations
The ‘Beyond Accounting Quiz’ consists of 50 multiple-choice questions (MCQ), where participants are required to answer all within 30 minutes during the Preliminary Round. The quiz questions will be presented in Bahasa Malaysia.
Registration is free and open to all Form 4 and 5 students across Malaysia but they must register and complete the quiz within the deadline of 30 March.
