A male suspect who gained notoriety on social media after allegedly assaulting a garbage truck driver on Jalan 6, Jalan Panchang Bedena, Sungai Besar, Sabak Bernam, Selangor, is now being pursued by the authorities.
The incident, which has ignited outrage and garnered widespread attention on Facebook, unfolded yesterday around 9:30 AM, leading to a swift response from the Sabak Bernam District Police.

According to Sabak Bernam District Police Chief, Superintendent Agus Salim Mohd Alias, the ordeal commenced when a 37-year-old lorry driver contacted the police to report a violent altercation.
The victim claimed that he was brutally attacked and threatened by an unidentified assailant while operating his garbage truck in the area.
Preliminary investigations revealed that the suspect’s vehicle obstructed the path of the garbage truck, prompting the driver to sound his horn to request the suspect to move.
The sequence of events leading to the assault
Unexpectedly, the situation took a violent turn as the man aggressively approached the victim, who remained inside the lorry, hurling abusive language and eventually resorting to physical violence, brandishing a stick to strike the driver, reported Buletin TV3.
The victim sustained injuries to his hand during the altercation and sought medical treatment at Tengku Ampuan Jemaah Hospital (HTAJ) in Sabak Bernam before being discharged.
Authorities launch manhunt
The case has been registered under sections 324 and 506 of the Penal Code, and the authorities are urging any witnesses to step forward and assist in the ongoing investigation.
